Welcome to Portable Listen and Learn - The Portable Potato. This is where fifth graders show us how podcasting is done. All content was written by my fifth grade class to tie into our Communities unit for science. We will still go by the name, Portable Listen and Learn, but more specifically, The Portable Potato. Listen to find out why.
In this podcast, we focus on class news, learning tips, sports, and Black History month facts. For the majority of the podcast, Mrs. Runkles interviews students that entered the Exploravision contest.
We actually recorded this before the March - 03.09.06 podcast that I posted yesterday... Here it is...Enjoy!

Listen to some comments about our podcast from a talented educator named Aaron Smith. Check out his podcast at http://academicaesthetic.blogspot.com. I met him at the PETE& C Event. He had a lot of great insight on podcasting and many other educational technology topics.
Thank you for your encouraging words, Mr. Smith. Listen to his podcast about our very own, Portable Listen and Learn below...
This is a podcast we recorded on Valentine's Day for our parents. Thank you for all that you do!
This is our first podcast which contains class news. Each student came up with topics he/she wanted to research, write about, and share. Scripts were written and edited by students. Mrs. Runkles added music and edited our recordings. Each week we listen and analyze our podcast in order to find ways to improve our writing and fluency. Enjoy!
